Dear Friends:

I am pleased to extend greetings to everyone attending the New Jersey Committee for Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (NJESGR) reception.

Since its inception, NJESGR has provided free education, consultation and mediation to employers of National Guard and Reserve members. The support offered is invaluable to employers all over the State and to our brave men and women in uniform. I applaud NJESGR’s hard work and dedication in assisting our National Guard and Reserve members so they may continue to do their important work in defending our country.

In addition, I would like to congratulate the New Jersey State Police, Merck & Co. and R & R Construction Company upon receiving the Pro Patria Award. All of these companies have adopted personnel policies that facilitate employee participation in the National Guard or Reserve. I commend all of you for making this issue a priority in your workplace.
